Difficult Discussions: From Conflict to Constructive Conversation

College classrooms should be spaces where students can practice respectful dialogue, even when they disagree; however, this requires intentionality and openness from instructors. While these conversations won’t go perfectly every time, we've compiled four steps (and a multitude of resources) you can follow to to steer your students into productive, respectful dialogue. These resources are especially useful for heated discussions that pop up related to current political and international events.
